What is WeatherSTEM?

It's an integrated system combining a personalized weather station, cloud camera, and other interesting probes that measure things like soil moisture and water temperature.

Data collected is integrated with educational content and curriculum on a custom portal and is also shared on Facebook, Twitter, and Weather Underground. See an example at in .

WeatherSTEM is donating all equipment and services including installation and there are no costs to the donation site.

Why are we doing this?

WeatherSTEM is building the Florida Statewide Weather Community which includes a course in weather and climate that will be offered to people across the state. A lot of the data and images driving the course will come from WeatherSTEM's sites.

How can you nominate a donation site?

Find the county where your proposed donation site is in the table on the right and click the Nominate a Donation Site button.

What if the county where you want to nominate a site already has a donation site?
